Subject Description

    This subject is designed to integrate knowledge and skills developed throughout the Bachelor of Information Technology degree in a practical workplace setting. Students undertake an IT related professional placement in a relevant, approved industry workplace and through a number of tasks reflect upon personal and professional growth and evaluate the theory / practice nexus. Students are expected to have completed 36 credit points of CP subjects and be in the final year of study. Students at JCUS should consult Academic Staff.

Learning Outcomes

  • Apply knowledge and skills developed throughout the degree in a practical workplace environment
  • Design and deliver an information technology related project that demonstrates the application of relevant industry knowledge, standards and practices

Subject Assessment

  • Placement plan - (15%)
  • Diary and reflective journal - (30%)
  • Non-Invigilated > Assignments - (25%)
  • Employer final appraisal - (30%)
