This subject builds on the principles and concepts of the role of microbes in aquatic animal disease introduced in second year in the subject MI2031:03 (Marine Microbiology). Aquatic Microbial Pathobiology aims to cover the "disease" anatomy of the major groups of aquatic animals, the major disease causing microbes, particularly in aquaculture, introduce the concepts of disease in populations and understand the options for control.
