The purpose of this subject is to develop professional competencies in the conduct of program evaluation in clinical settings. This subject provides a review of the essential issues in developing, conducting, and analysing psychology-based program evaluations. Relevant topics will include common research and evaluation designs, research ethics, statistical workshops, and evaluation of research/program quality. This subject combines core issues in evaluative research methods in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and reporting.
Learning Outcomes
- evaluate and critique research using evidence-based method quality procedures;
- appraise main issues of measurement and evaluation in clinical practice;
- apply evidence-based evaluative knowledge and skills to formulate a clinically relevant program evaluation.
