This subject provides students with a comprehensive set of assessment, formulation and intervention approaches based on a cognitive-behavioural framework. Students will learn to analyse specific problems from a cognitive-behavioural perspective and be given foundations for learning applied skills necessary for working with anxiety and mood disorders.
Learning Outcomes
- conceptualise and apply an advanced understanding of methods, principles and theories related to the application of cognitive-behavioural approaches;
- formulate cases from a cognitive-behavioural therapy perspective, with consideration for alignment and integration with other psychotherapeutic models;
- demonstrate competency with the application of cognitive-behavioural therapy skills;
- convey propositions, strategies, recommendations, conclusions and professional decisions through advanced written and oral communication skills.
