Enrolment in this subject is restricted to all students enrolled in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Physiotherapy IHCAP and the Bachelor of Physiotherapy Honours Programs.

This subject will continue the exploration of the physiotherapist's role in the management of patients across the lifespan in the acute care/cardiorespiratory setting. The management of seriously ill patients will be explored, including the physiotherapy management of intubated and ventilated patients. Students will also develop knowledge and skills regarding evidence based cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

    Assessment:end of semester exam (45%); other exams (15%); quizzes or tests (20%); assignments (20%).
