This subject explores the communication practices intertwined with the discipline of political ecology. The subject analyses the role of institutions of public policy and administration, spin doctors, political advertising, and governance and their various communication practices. The subject examines the relationship between 'nature', society and how knowledge of political ecology is constructed in communication models. It first surveys the historical and theoretical context of political communication, global environmental governance and political ecology through a green theory lens. Secondly students will be able to demonstrate a high level of political communication skills with a long-form political communication project underpinned with global environmental theory.
