This subject will extend theoretical knowledge and skills surrounding advanced practice in occupational therapy. Content for this subject will vary according to the individuals' specific needs and interest areas. Students will select an area of practice not already covered in this program and critically examine in depth the theoretical and evidence base informing best service delivery in a rural and remote context.
Learning Outcomes
- locate, critically analyse and synthesise available evidence surrounding topic area chosen in order to determine best practice within a rural and remote context;
- critically examine current and potential models of service delivery in relation to the chosen topic in order to construct an argument for more effective service design and delivery in a rural and remote context;
- effectively communicate with peers and other key stakeholders at an advanced level through the preparation and delivery of a mock conference poster and presentation.
