This subject expands on foundation clinical diabetes knowledge of the aetiology and pathophysiology of diabetes including in depth coverage of diabetes management in special groups: paediatrics, pregnancy, elderly, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, high risk foot, perioperative and in-patients the complications of diabetes, prevention, risk factor screening and management strategies. The impact of diabetes across the lifespan and across cultures is covered including the particular needs of Indigenous populations. Interdisciplinary management processes are also examined along with the psychosocial impacts for people living with diabetes.
