In healthcare, knowledge takes various forms. In this subject, students will explore contemporary theories of knowledge translation and practice development. There is a strong focus on the application of the students' current clinical knowledge and skills to apply the processes involved in the implementation of research evidence and clinical knowledge to change or develop clinical practice. This subject will also explore the key roles healthcare professionals play in the translational process and consider concepts of engagement and collaboration with key stakeholders.

- Apply and evaluate the process of translating knowledge into action within a healthcare system;
- Describe the factors that may influence the evolution and application of knowledge and evidence in practice;
- Apply the theoretical models of knowledge translation to the implementation of practice development in healthcare contexts;
- Formulate a plan for implementing knowledge to transform practice.
