Available to Bachelor of Health Science (Physician Assistant) students only.

This subject available to Level 2 students enrolled in the Bachelor of Heath Science (Physician Assistant) Studies. It will cover paediatric medicine, emergency medicine, adult medicine and preparation for clinical placement. It will also cover, procedural skills used in physician assistant practice and performance and interpretation of basic clinical investigations. The topics will be presented in an integrated fashion across the semester of study. Students will undertake clinical placement in an inpatient setting.

Special Assessment Requirements:Attendance at residential schools and clinical placements is mandatory. Satisfactory completion of the clinical aspects, including set competencies, is required.
