This module has been developed specifically for allied health professionals in the following professions; Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Speech Pathology. (Note: no podiatrist)

This module builds rural generalist knowledge and skills in service provision for consumers experiencing cancer who are living in the rural and remote communities. Participants explore the presentation and impact of the condition with specific attention to development of clinical practices and service processes.

Learning Outcomes

Prerequisites:Participants are responsible for ensuring they are practicing in accordance with the regulatory instruments of their specific allied health profession, within their own personal scope of practice and experience level and in accordance with the policies of their employer. This module requires access to a patient or consumer that is a cancer survivor, so as to demonstrate achievement of module outcomes in the appropriate clinical context.
