Available to graduate students. The subject is designed to give veterinarians and biomedical scientists a solid foundation in applied biostatistics that can be used in practice and upon which further studies in various veterinary and biomedical disciplines can be built. It is presented as a multi-mode learning module, which will enable students to complete it at their own pace and primarily off campus.
Learning Outcomes
- be able to apply basic exploratory and inferential statistical methods to biomedical data that include confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, chi-square procedures, regression and correlation, t-test and analysis of variance;
- understand the differences and application of parametric and non-parametric tests.
