Available to any experienced medical practitioner currently working in a rural or remote location.

This subject engages students in reflection on current issues in rural and remote health such as mental health, substance abuse, emergency and disaster planning and telehealth. It also covers workforce issues, practice management issues and doctor self care; all of which are affected by rural context. In the assessment tasks students will be expected to apply this knowledge to a specific rural practice and community.
