Introduction to personal property law, the law of sale of goods, cheques; the law of agency and bailment.
Learning Outcomes
- students will gain a thorough understanding of the laws relating to personal property, sale of goods, negotiable instruments (Cheques), agency and bailment in Australia;
- students will develop problem-solving skills in relation to these matters;
- students will gain a thorough understanding of a person's rights in relation to personal property including cheques, of the rights of sellers/buyers, the duties and liabilities of principals and agents and bailors and bailees both at common law and under statute.
