This subject covers the evolution of current legislation in Queensland or Singapore, and other relevant regulatory frameworks. It provides a basis for understanding the development process, including planning schemes, environmental impact assessment, sub-divisional development, appeals and the jurisdiction of the Planning and Environment Court or Ministerial Appeals
Learning Outcomes
- develop specific knowledge of the relevant planning and environmental legislation in Queensland Australia and Singapore;
- demonstrate practically-based comprehension of the functions of the Planning and Environment Court or Ministerial Appeals and other appeal systems;
- identify relevant planning jurisdictions from within Australia or Singapore and overseas;
- demonstrate understanding and application of the Planning Act 1998 (Singapore) or the Planning Act 2016 (Queensland);
- examine and appraise professional practice and ethics.
