This subject will extend ED5300 and ED5301 by engaging in cycles of critical reflection of your own academic practice through review of student learning, peer observation, action research and the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). It positions academic professionals as learners and researchers in the context and constraints of an ever changing higher education sector. ED5304 assessment forms a scholarly project plan that can be implemented in the elective subject that follows (ED5305), combined with the development or extension of your contemporary academic e-profile.
Learning Outcomes
- Identify and generate practical and research- informed solutions to complex problems in a range of higher education contexts, with responsibility, autonomy, well-developed judgement and adaptability;
- Communicate a clear and coherent exposition of complex knowledge and ideas to a variety of audiences through high level speaking, reading, writing, listening and advocacy skills;
- Critically engage with a range of evaluation data sources and tools and professional learning and development opportunities to enhance the quality and scholarship of teaching and learning.
