Available ONLY to students enrolled in the BEd. External offering available to ECE online students only. Attendance at lectures is mandatory and a condition of ED4489 placement. 3-hours lectures are delivered over 9 weeks (including Lecture Recess week). First lecture commences in Week 3 (i.e. week beginning Mar 11) and final lecture is in Week 11 (i.e. week beginning May 6)
This subject is part of the developmental curriculum for professional experience within the Bachelor of Education program. In school settings relevant to their specialist sector (Early Childhood, Primary or Secondary) students will complete five (5) allocated weeks (25 days) of professional experience. For students enrolled in the BEd (Early Childhood Education), professional experience will be undertaken in a school with children aged over 5-8 years. All students will complete a range of activities to assure the Australian Professional Standards for Graduate Teachers. As a culminating experience, students will plan, teach and evaluate a full-time three-week teaching block.

- identify, value, analyse and support a range of learner diversity, including learners with special educational needs, in a school setting;
- plan, manage, teach, evaluate a minimum three week full-time equivalent block across all sujbects in ECE and Primary and full-time equivalent across both curriculum areas and including junior and senior in Secondary.
