The subject covers a range of topics such as brand management, pricing strategies, communicating with a culturally-diverse customer base, designing a channel strategy, selecting a foreign market entry mode, and analysing political-legal, economic, socio-cultural, technological and ecological dimensions of the environment. Furthermore, students are encouraged to explore the complexities, and opportunities, of doing business in the tropics and in remote, peripheral regions, such as the logistical challenges posed by distance and the need to adapt products due to the nature of the tropical climate.
