This subject will provide students with an introduction to the conference and events industry. Topics to be included are planning and management of conferences and events, operational aspects of meetings and events, marketing and service quality as applied to event management, and the role of meetings and events in destination development. Students will be involved in a simulated or actual planning process for a conference or special event.
