Training in Honours or Graduate Diploma (AQF 8) level research and writing in any area of study in the Bachelor of Social Sciences.
Learning Outcomes
- demonstrate appropriate levels and direction of research;
- demonstrate clarity of concept and originality of research project;
- demonstrate evidence of understanding of and engagement with theories relevant to the topic, both contemporary and traditional;
- demonstrate monograph-style organisation, including an introduction, chapter division and conclusion which demonstrate clarity and coherence of argument;
- demonstrate technical correctness, as regards grammar, spelling, syntax, scholarly apparatus and bibliographical data, embodied in a fluent and readable style and a scholarly manner and tone.
