The purpose of this subject is to develop professional competencies in the conduct of research in clinical settings. This subject provides a review of the essential issues in developing, conducting, and analysing psychology research. Relevant topics will include common research designs, research ethics, statistical workshops, and evaluation of research quality. This subject combines core issues in research methods in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and research writing.
Learning Outcomes
- appraise main issues of measurement and evaluation in clinical practice and research;
- evaluate and critique research using evidence-based method quality procedures;
- formulate a clinically relevant research project.
