The purpose of this subject is to establish an understanding of the meaning and concept of occupation and to be able to apply an occupational perspective to human situations. Students will engage with the occupational therapy community and identify the foundational processes that underpin occupational therapy practice for enabling change.

  • 6 hours practicals - 2 x 3 hr blended learning simulation modules
  • 26 hours workshops/Seminars - 1 x 2 hr workshop per week
    Assessment:end of semester exam (50%); assignments (50%).
    Special Assessment Requirements:All assessment materials must be submitted to pass the subject. A grade of 50% or more on the final examination must be achieved to pass the subject overall. Students will be required to conduct an interview as part of the assessment requirements for this subject. Completion of blended learning simulation practice education modules is compulsory. Students must attend at least 80% of the scheduled residential block.
