This module builds rural generalist knowledge and skills in service provision for consumers experiencing cancer who are living in the rural and remote communities. Participants explore the presentation and impact of the condition with specific attention to development of clinical practices and service processes.
Learning Outcomes
- Examine the broad impact of cancer and its treatment upon consumers, within the context of rural and remote health service delivery;
- Design and develop evidence-based strategies and service improvement options to support consumers living with cancer in rural and remote communities as they deal with issues relating to survivorship and/or disease progression. These outcomes will contribute to overall achievement of program learning outcomes.
