This module has been developed specifically for allied health professionals in the following professions: Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Speech Pathology.

This module explores neurological conditions as well as assessment and intervention strategies within the rural and remote practice context. Participants will be guided to review a neurological assessment specific to their discipline. Additionally, participants will develop a step-down rehabilitation care plan for a rural/remote based client living with a neurological condition. This module has been developed specifically for allied health professionals in the following professions: Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Speech Pathology.

Learning Outcomes

Prerequisites:Participants are responsible for ensuring they are practicing in accordance with the regulatory instruments of their specific allied health profession, within their own personal scope of practice or practice or experience level and in accordance with the policies of their employer. This module requires access to a patient or consumer with a neurological condition, so as to demonstrate achievement of module outcomes in the appropriate clinical context.
