This module builds rural generalist knowledge and skills in service provision for consumers experiencing chronic cardiovascular and/or respiratory conditions who are living in rural and remote communities. Participants will enhance their knowledge and skills in assessment, clinical reasoning, client management and self-management skills.
Learning Outcomes
- Utilising knowledge of the anatomy and pathophysiology of common chronic cardiovascular and/or respiratory conditions demonstrate and reflect on assessment, and clinical reasoning skills in accordance with identified best practice guidelines and recent literature relevant to rural and remote communities;
- Formulate comprehensive self-management plans for people with chronic cardiovascular and/or respiratory conditions designed to optimise care in the rural and remote setting in accordance with best practice guidelines and local service strategic intent.
