Available to final year Bachelor of Laws and combined degree Bachelor of Laws students.

Available as part of the Honours program to level 4 students with a GPA of at least 5, who anticipate applying for an Australian Postgraduate Award. Students will be required to undertake this subject together with LA4047 Research Dissertation B and complete a substantial piece of independent research, under the supervision of an appointed supervisor. The length of the dissertation is 18,000-20,000 words. The conditions are fully set out in the Honours guidelines of the School of Law.

• to foster the acquisition of a sophisticated knowledge of the law in the subject area of the research.
