Administered by: | College of Business, Law & Governance |
The multi-disciplinary subject enables final year students from law, business and information technology disciplines to work together to design, implement, and evaluate a real life project sourced from industry partner organisations. Identification of suitable student projects occurs through collaboration between faculty and industry partner organisations. The subject allows students to make the necessary links between theory and workplace practice, further develop problem solving, creative, organisational and teamwork skills and gain insight into the knowledge and skills of other disciplines relevant to their chosen industry practice.
Learning Outcomes
- apply classroom knowledge and skills gained throughout the degree to solve complex and real world industry issues and produce a large scaled project outcome;
- demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively, in particular in a cross-discipline team and where required to effectively manage and lead a team;
- evaluate the complexity of working across different discipline areas and contrast and evaluate the relationships between various sectors of professional industry;
- identify, evaluate and action learning opportunities and self-improvements.
