To provide a practical and theoretical understanding of the law of evidence to prepare students for what will be required in practice. The course will give a background to the development of the common law and will also look at the relevant Queensland and Commonwealth legislation.
Learning Outcomes
- Explain and critique the importance of evidence in legal practice;
- Research legal issues and analyse using primary and secondary sources;
- Apply primary and secondary sources in a range of practical scenarios;
- Communicate effectively in writing.
