This subject is the first of two subjects (the other being GG4012) that in combination constitute the full year Honours subject in the Discipline of Molecular and Cell Biology. The subject is a combination of a major research project and assignments.
Learning Outcomes
- review the scientific literature on a particular topic and design a research program to answer questions raised on that topic;
- conduct a research project in accordance with professional, ethical and safety standards;
- design and implement a research project and statistically analyse the results;
- analyse the results obtained in the context of the contemporary scientific literature;
- prepare a dissertation on the original research topic in appropriate scientific language;
- design and present a written post graduate degree research project proposal;
- communicate orally a research project to a scientific audience.

Prerequisites: | Completion of Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science (Advanced) or Bachelor of Biomedical Science with at least a credit average |
