Learning Outcomes
- have broad knowledge of elements of French culture through the reading programme;
- write with increasing fluency on diverse topics using basic academic French;
- write in different French styles, in particular journalistic French;
- read authentic materials from the French press with sensitivity to tone;
- read a French novel from the early twentieth century with sensitivity to the time it was written;
- reach level of social proficiency (3 on the ISLPR scale).
Assumed Knowledge: | To undertake this subject, students must have successfully completed 12 credit points (four subjects) of level 1 study at tertiary level |
