Subject available only to students enrolled in teh Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) at JCU Singapore and who complete professional experience in non-Australian schools.
This subject is part of the developmental curriculum for professional experience within the Bachelor of Education program. Students will be placed in a school and attend for 25 allocated days, completing a range of activities to develop an understanding of the complexities of teachers' roles. As a culminating experience, students will plan, teach and evaluate a full-time three week block of teaching.
Learning Outcomes
- participate ethically in a range of activities within a school setting;
- use a repertoire of language and literacy skills appropriate to the teaching profession;
- use professional standards to demonstrate and critically assess professional growth;
- identify, value, analyse and support a range of learner diversity, including learners with special educational needs, in a school setting;
- plan, manage, teach, evaluate a minimum three week full-time equivalent block across all KLAs in ECE and Primary and full-time equivalent across both curriculum areas and including junior and senior in Secondary.
