Science education is a key component of early childhood education. In this subject, you will develop your science technological, pedagogical, concept and curriculum knowledge with an emphasis on preparing to teach young learners from birth to Year 3. You will learn to identify the skills, attitudes and concepts that form an early childhood program and learn strategies appropriate to the teaching of science. Lectures and tutorials for this subject are delivered by external mode only. The subject is offered online requiring students to have access to the internet for participation. Students will be expected to conduct level 1 (safe) hands-on science activities at home using simple materials.
