This subject addresses how to investigate and research social science issues through surveys, including the gathering of qualitative and quantitative information. A variety of sampling techniques, computer aided analysis and presentation of research findings is also covered.
Learning Outcomes
- identify quantitative survey methods and prepare quality survey instruments;
- demonstrate skills in preparing social science research projects;
- analyse and understand social statistics using both descriptive and inferential measures;
- prepare and write reports based on research using social statistics.
| Assumed Knowledge: | To undertake this subject, students must have successfully completed 12 credit points (four subjects) of level 1 study at tertiary level |
