Conflict, contestation, co-operation, communication and power are all part of political science. So are globalisation, democratisation and environmental challenges. The subject is organised around four central themes: political concepts; politics and society; machinery of government; and political change. It adopts a comparative perspective, drawing on a diverse range of countries and political systems, and introduces key features of Australian politics.
Learning Outcomes

- Transmit knowledge, skills and ideas to others identifying major political concepts and ideologies;
- Analyse, generate and transmit solutions to contemporary political issues experienced in different countries.
