The ability to define, discuss, demonstrate, integrate and evaluate knowledge and skills from disciplines outside of a student's immediate specialty is essential to the development of a skilled and professional health care graduate. Students may extend themselves into an area of study where they previously have little or no background; or to acquire additional depth and consolidation of knowledge and expertise in a previous area of study relevant to their MBBS course. A variety of modular study options are offered whose delivery may include lectures, tutorials, practicals, independent study, clinical placements or other relevant site visits. Study modules on offer are subject to availability - students will be advised of availability and module details during the study period immediately preceding the study period in which they undertake the selective study.
