The subject is a 4-week online course which aims to familiarise students with business communications skills, understand key business concepts, and apply critical thinking techniques. The subject aims to build capacity in academic business skills in students entering the MBA program without a cognate degree. Students will complete the subject during the first semester in the MBA program. The focus of this subject is to ensure students are equipped with the underpinning knowledge to succeed in the MBA.
Learning Outcomes
- identify and apply relevant and appropriate business language to effectively communicate in both written and oral form;
- examine key business concepts and apply these to business management;
- apply analytical skills and knowledge to identify problems, evaluate options and recommend solutions.
