Introduced in this subject are the concepts and technologies of computer graphics, computer animation and computer visualisation. Students engage in modelling of 3D objects and deploying avatars in games and simulation. Topics covered include polygon modelling, rigging, animation, lighting, physics and dynamics.
Learning Outcomes
- demonstrate skills in using modern graphics and animation software tools with emphasis on creating components for game development and simulation;
- apply appropriate rendering and lighting techniques;
- create a fully deployable avatar for games;
- apply physics and dynamics to models within scenes to create an animation production.
