Available to students who have been awarded a Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree from James Cook University within 5 years of proposed enrolment.
This subject is the second of two subjects (the other being TV5101) that in combination constitute the full-time honours in the Discipline of Veterinary Science. The subject consists of research undertaken for preparation of a thesis and seminars which accompany the research process. Students will be able to choose a research project from veterinary sciences, clinical veterinary science and veterinary practice offered in the discipline. All projects are subject to approval by the honours coordinator of the Veterinary Science Discipline.
Learning Outcomes
- to enable students to analyse data, apply and use appropriate methods and critically evaluate results;
- to develop the skills required to carry out a literature search and to critically evaluate the literature;
- to develop the skills necessary to formulate a research question and project plan.
