Available to International Exchange students only
This subject is available to approved international exchange students from an approved institution. Students are required to undertake preparation classes at their home university and orientation classes at James Cook University, and to participate in work experience placements in Townsville or Cairns. The work experience placements will assist students to develop practice skills and abilities in their discipline. At the end of the placement the student will prepare and deliver a formal presentation highlighting their learning achievements.
Learning Outcomes
- have an understanding of the work place protocols and practices in Australia;
- integrate their formal knowledge of English language with the practical application of language skills in the workplace.
