This subject will provide students with the opportunity to experience the various roles of exercise physiologists in the treatment and care of individuals with musculoskeletal and neurological conditions and will provide exposure to the roles of other team members in rehabilitation processes, referral and communication pathways and medical record systems. Students will have opportunities to observe and work with health professionals during the design, implementation and evaluation phases of clinical exercise programs, and to learn about equipment, facilities and program planning used in clinical exercise physiology.

    Assessment:portfolio of clinical experience and reflective practice assignment.
    Special Assessment Requirements:Students must attend 180 hours of clinical placement activities covering musculoskeletal, neuromuscular/neurological conditions and cancers and satisfactorily meet set assessment criteria including a satisfactory report from the clinical supervisor(s), a completed logbook and workplace reflection.
