Enrolment is restricted to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Speech Pathology, Speech Pathology IHCAP Program and the Bachelor of Speech Pathology Honours Programs.

This subject will provide knowledge about acquired motor speech disorders of neurological origin across the lifespan (i.e. in both children and adults). In this subject, students will develop skills necessary for competent practice in the assessment, diagnosis and management of acquired motor speech disorders within a holistic and client-centred approach.

    Assessment:end of semester exam (40%); quizzes or tests (15%); presentations (20%); assignments (25%); hurdle oro-motor examination (%).
    Special Assessment Requirements:Students must achieve at least 50% in each individual weighted assessment item, must pass the non-weighted hurdle task, and must achieve at least 50% overall to pass the subject. Students are required to attend and participate in at least 80% of all scheduled classes.
