Available to students who have been awarded a degree in Physiotherapy or its equivalent.
Students in this subject will commence a research project on a topic to be agreed between the student and the Postgraduate Coordinator (Physiotherapy), carried out under the supervision of a supervisor from the Discipline of Physiotherapy. Students will learn skills in data collection, analysis and scientific writing.
Learning Outcomes
- students will demonstrate and apply advanced skills to review and critically appraise literature relevant to the chosen research topic;
- students will design and undertake research in a systematic and scientific manner;
- students will demonstrate advanced skills in analysis of the data collected and extraction of logical conclusions from the research results;
- students will apply research methods appropriate to the field of study in which the research project is situated;
- students will ensure that research is conducted in an ethical manner;
- students will communicate the research findings using advanced written, presentation and oral communication skills.
