Available to students who have been awarded a degree (or its equivalent) in Physiotherapy, and have approval of the Head of Discipline/ School
This subject is the first of two subjects (the other being PS4502) that constitute the Bachelor of Physiotherapy Honours (graduate entry) in the Discipline of Physiotherapy, when studied full time. Students in this subject will commence a research project on a topic to be agreed between the student and the Honours Coordinator (Physiotherapy), carried out under the supervision of a supervisor from within the Discipline of Physiotherapy.
Learning Outcomes
- students will demonstrate advanced skills to review and critically appraise literature relevant to the chosen research topic;
- students will demonstrate advanced skills to design and undertake research in a systematic and scientific manner, to apply research methods appropriate to the field of study in which the research project is situated, and to implement the procedures necessary to ensure that research is conducted in an ethical manner appropriate to the research area;
- students will demonstrate advanced skills to conduct appropriate analysis of the data collected and extract logical conclusions from the research results;
- students will demonstrate advanced written, oral and presentation skills to communicate their research plan and findings.
