Subject content and learning objectives as for PP3151. Students will normally be required to attend lectures, tutorials and practicals and complete an advanced assignment or equivalent work to postgraduate standard.
Learning Outcomes
- Appreciate at the cellular level the difference between cell degeneration and death, and know how cells adapt to an altered extracellular environment;
- Describe in general terms the procedures routinely used in diagnostic pathology;
- Describe the cellular changes that occur in such states as genetic disorders, inflammation, immunopathology and neoplasia;
- Understand how cells respond to diverse types of injury.
