This subject provides the student with the foundation knowledge for further studies in human physiology and pharmacology. It covers a diversity of functions of the human body including respiration, gastro-intestinal physiology and nutrition, renal physiology, endocrinology and reproductive physiology. Students will be introduced to scientific writing, including literature searching, data analysis, and the application of basic statistics. This knowledge is essential for careers in health related areas, human biomedical research and drug research development.
