Available to students enrolled in postgraduate studies in Occupational Therapy with recognised prior learning as approved by the Head of Occupational Therapy.
This subject is an elective and content will vary according to the individuals specific needs related to the elective module.Electives may include: occupational therapy in rural and remote communities, mental health practice, work rehabilitation within the mining industry, OT and palliative care, paediatrics or specialty general medical services.
Learning Outcomes
- achieve advanced skills specific to the chosen elective module;
- develop an appreciation of and an understanding for other professional specialities and develop a collegiate network;
- increased knowledge in specific areas of occupational therapy practice;
- participate in a wider range of occupational therapy practice settings.
