In this subject students examine the relationship between sound and the moving image in the context of creative media formats including experimental film and gallery installation works. Students will develop practical skills within a series of tutorials and utilise these skills to produce assignments focussed on sound in creative media settings.
Learning Outcomes
- undertake analysis tasks relevant to sound and music as applied in creative media settings;
- understand theories and terminology relevant to sound and the moving image in creative media settings;
- use practical skills to develop soundtrack elements for the moving image in creative media formats.
