Students will engage with the methodologies of interdisciplinary production techniques, including digital workflows, system design and content integration across a variety of platforms and media. Students will work to a production brief developing new creative work in small production teams that will be integrated into a final major creative work. The production will encompass all the disciplines of the new media arts program and will be representative of the multi-platform realities of contemporary digital content production. Publishing, design, film, gaming and software production case studies which exemplify digital production workflows and key works of cultural significance will be examined in detail. Students will be required to reflect and critique their own creative output and ability to communicate and problem solve in an interdisciplinary context.
Learning Outcomes
- produce a written production brief as an individual and in a group context;
- develop clear and concise written documentation in an online environment;
- apply interdisciplinary media arts practice;
- implement strategies for integrating digital media in a variety of settings and platforms;
- apply knowledge of production methodologies in contemporary studio practice.
