In this subject students are introduced to the core elements of sound (dialogue, sound effects and music) and core elements relative to the moving image. Students will develop fundamental skills within a series of online tutorials and utilise these skills to produce a set of assignments focussed on dialogue, sound effects and music.
Learning Outcomes
- understand the roles of dialogue, sound effects and music in conjunction with the moving image;
- understand fundamental theories and terminology relevant to sound and the moving image;
- use practical skills to develop fundamental soundtrack elements for the moving image.
