This subject introduces students to fundamental elements of visual communication and digital literacy in contemporary media arts. Processes of colour theory, visuality and foundation principles of computer-aided imaging and production are included. Strategies for communicating ideas in a visual form and understanding of media and technology in a social and cultural context will be examined. Concepts that inform the convergence of visual and media arts will be explored and developed in this subject. You will be provided with opportunities to work with a range of digital processes and applications to test your ideas in the production of original creative work.
